WHO WE ARE ?

Goldenwrist Capital is a U.S.-based real estate firm that has been operating for over 10 years, strategically focusing on multifamily workforce housing in Houston, Texas. Our operations target properties in distressed neighborhoods, which, prior to our acquisition, are extremely dilapidated and mismanaged, with severely low occupancy and high delinquency rates. We specialize in adding deep value through a unique repositioning approach that combines physical building renovation with significant social support and services, all geared towards benefiting working-class families.

FOUNDER : Jack Burhan ALTINBILEK

Jack Burhan Altinbilek, the founder of Goldenwrist Capital, hails from Erzincan, Turkey. He earned his Bachelor of Education Degree in Turkish Language from Ankara Gazi University in 2008 and pursued graduate studies at the University of Missouri Kansas City. Later, he transferred to the University of Texas PB, obtaining an M.A. degree in Professional Education in 2013. He began a Ph.D. degree in Political Science in 2014 but did not finish. Altinbilek received Startalk scholarships established by the NSA in 2012 and 2013. In 2012, he obtained a certificate and served as a lecturer at Indiana University Bloomington. In 2013, he worked as a supervisor and received a certificate from Stanford University.

Altinbilek entered the real estate industry in 2009, right after the 2008 mortgage crisis, leveraging opportunities through bankrupt and foreclosure properties. Despite challenging times, he transitioned into a full-time real estate investor in late 2014, achieving an average annual growth minimum of 25%.

Altinbilek’s real estate journey began in 2009 during an economic downturn when he purchased his first residential property from a bankrupt landlord while studying at the university. Approaching real estate with an academic perspective as a lecturer, he has grown a multi-thousand-unit real estate company. Specializing in revitalizing distressed communities, Altinbilek employs a unique approach by addressing mismanaged properties, eradicating criminal elements, restoring social services, providing jobs to the local community, and leasing to hardworking families. This case-study-based strategy has transformed numerous neighborhoods, and Altinbilek remains committed to revitalizing underserved communities, believing in his ability to bring peace, serenity, and value to these areas—an endeavor he views as boundless, with a well-established and competition-free niche. Having successfully repeated this process countless times, he is prepared to continue making a positive impact indefinitely.

WE WORK IN TWO TRAJECTORIES

1. Building renovation – We invest in multifamily housing units below market prices and transform these units into family-oriented and safe housing. We implement vast property improvements including repairing structural issues, improving maintenance of indoor and outdoor spaces, renovating the property’s shared spaces, and creating a welcoming and safe living environment. We focus on strategic property locations, which are near business centers of major employers.
2. Elevating social and community wellbeing – we work to improve the safety, welfare and wellbeing of our residents by engaging with them on a personal level and gaining their trust. We play a significant role in facilitating community engagement and resilience, working in close collaboration with local organizations, charities, and law enforcement units. Over the years, we have gained expertise in distressed neighborhood revitalization including crime rate reduction, and improvements can be seen even months following our entry into the neighborhood. Another integral component of our work is creating employment opportunities for our residents and for other underserved populations. Therefore, we offer professional training and hire residents of our properties and individuals of other underprivileged groups, such as veteran and ex-convicts. By combining these two efforts, we fundamentally transform neglected neighborhoods into thriving family-oriented communities while also increasing property value.
Goldenwrist Capital focuses on deeply distressed multifamily properties in the Greater Houston area, in Texas. Texas is the second largest state in the United States and is home to approximately 29.5 million residents. Texas enjoys a positive net migration rate, due to its vast employment opportunities in the fields of services, oil and gas, and construction. Furthermore, many Fortune 500 companies have extensive activity and employment opportunities in Texas, and in the Greater Houston area, making the state a fertile ground for investment. Goldenwrist Capital plan to expand other Texas Cities in 2024, and other selected states in 2025.
